Five Thai people in Israel were injured, three of them seriously, when they were hit by shrapnel from an anti-tank rocket fired from Lebanon into a kibbutz in the north of the country on Monday night.

Belarusian tourist lost in Phuket jungle found unharmed

A Belarusian tourist, who had got lost while on a jungle trek in the Layan area of Phuket, was found safe and sound. Phuket Tourist Police confirmed the news this morning, stating that the man emerged from the ordeal unharmed.

Firefighter dies of heart attack, two hospitalised in Nan province

One firefighter has died of a heart attack, while two others are suffering from heat stroke and cerebral haemorrhage, as firefighters from the Department of Forests and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation desperately try to control raging forest fires in several northern provinces, especially in Mae Hong Son.

Temperatures predicted to exceed 40 degrees next week

Temperatures are expected to surpass 40 degrees Celsius in several provinces next week, as tomorrow the “heat index” is expected to reach 48.1 degrees in Bangkok and 51.4 degrees in Chon Buri, according to Somkuan Tonjan, head of the Central Weather Forecast Division of the Meteorological Department.

Khon Kaen Gears Up for LRT System Construction

KHON KAEN (NNT) - Khon Kaen province has announced a plan to commence the construction of its Light Rail Transit (LRT) system, a major development in the region's public transportation infrastructure. Scheduled to start in 2025, the LRT project, the first outside Bangkok, is expected to modernize transit in the area, starting with a route around the Bueng Kaen Nakhon Reservoir.

Driver’s loss of control ends in fatal crash in northern Thailand

Missing Buriram woman found after mysterious journey

The woman, who had been missing since the Loy Krathong festival in November last year, was discovered near a hospital in the Pakham district.
