Totally disagree, Israel has been the problem since they were the terrorists in the beginning.

This is about the current war though, as we have been asking numerous times to stop going on about history

Of course you disagree, if you agreed with me you would have to admit that 7/10 was the start of this war, and all other dates you throw into the arena are just a smokescreen to justify 7/10.

You need to get off your hobbyhorse, yes this might not have happened if Hamas hadn't done the atrocities of 7/10, but what did happen in Gaza prior to 7/10 has got to be taken into consideration no matter what you say.

What did happen in Gaza prior to 7/10 ?

What needs to be taken into consideration ?

There is nothing biased by showing ones indignation about the 7/10 attrocities, anybody who thinks the Israelis brought it on themselves is severely unhinged!

OK, so who was attacked on the 7/10?

cc to the ceasefire now people

Brett McGurk, Biden's coordinator for the Middle East speaking about the ceasefire/hostage negotiations:

I'll be frank about where this stands. There is a deal on the table that would lead to a ceasefire and release of hostages.

Hamas just has to release the women, elderly, sick and wounded and we'd have a ceasefire and other things that would bring relief to Gazans...and then get the rest of the hostages out.

That deal is there and it has been flatly rejected by the leadership of Hamas in Gaza. Sometimes that fact gets written out of the story and we are determined not to let that happen.

'The world needs to know that the only thing that's standing between the Gazan people and a ceasefire, is Hamas. They have rejected generous proposals from Israel.'

"it seems more interested in a regional conflict than improving the lives of the Palastinian people"

Yet another reminder that this topic is for posting daily updates on the war between Israel and Hamas (not Ukraine/Russia/Iran). For those that would prefer to discuss and share opinions on the historical perspectives there is a dedicated topic. If you persist here then don't be surprised to have posts removed:

Why Did Hamas Attack Israel on Oct 7th 2023 a Historical Perspective

"All of these hostages, they’ve been up on our walls for over six months and that’s exactly where they’re gonna stay until everyone is brought back home. And I’ll never understand why we’re not talking about that more and why there is not more stories about that in the media," Fetterman said.

Fetterman calls on media to keep a spotlight on Israeli hostages held in Gaza, says Hamas should surrender
'We must never forget Hamas owns this entire catastrophe and can end this,' Fetterman says

A flotilla is to set sail for Gaza again

The initial flotilla will comprise three ships, two of which will hold humanitarian aid while the third will carry thousands of passengers including aid workers and press members, according to Reuters. At a later stage, additional ships will depart from elsewhere in the region to join them and expand the flotilla, the IHH said in a statement published online.

This was on the cards eventually I guess. Qatar has had enough of them hopefully.

Hamas leaders said looking at leaving Qatar amid growing pressure in hostage talks

Hamas’s political chiefs are exploring moving their base of operations out of Qatar, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday, as the Gulf state faces increasing pressure over its influence with the terror group in indirect hostage-for-truce negotiations with Israel.

Citing Arab officials, the report said Hamas has recently contacted two regional countries about having its leaders live there, one of which is Oman.

The outlet noted that if Hamas leaders were to leave Doha, it could be more difficult for negotiations to be held with the terror group.

Israel Hasn’t Offered Evidence Tying U.N. Workers to Terrorism, Review Says

Israel has not provided evidence to support its allegations that many employees of the main U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees are members of terrorist organizations, according to an independent review commissioned by the United Nations that was released on Monday.

The review was announced in January, before Israel circulated claims that significant numbers of employees of the agency, known as UNRWA, were members of terrorist groups.

But by the time investigators started working on the review in early February, it had taken on additional significance: Israel had accused about a dozen employees of the agency, which employs about 13,000 Palestinians in Gaza, of involvement in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attacks on Israel or their aftermath.

US intelligence casts doubt on Israeli claims of UNRWA-Hamas links, report says

A US intelligence assessment of Israel’s claims that UN aid agency staff members participated in the Hamas attack on 7 October said some of the accusations were credible, though could not be independently verified, while also casting doubt on claims of wider links to militant groups.

The assault precipitated a full-scale invasion by Israel of Gaza that has killed upwards of 30,000 Palestinians. Earlier this year, Israel accused 12 employees of the United Nations Reliefs and Works Agency (UNRWA) of participating in the 7 October attacks alongside Hamas. It also said 10% of all UNRWA workers were affiliated with Hamas.

Israel yet to provide evidence to back UNRWA 7 October attack claims – UN

A month after Israeli allegations that a dozen United Nations staff were involved in the 7 October Hamas attack, UN investigators have yet to receive any evidence from Israel to support the claims, though they expect some material to be forthcoming “shortly”.

The allegations against the 12 employees of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) led 16 major donors to suspend contributions totalling $450m at a time when more than 2 million Gazans are facing famine. UNRWA says it is approaching “breaking point” and only has sufficient funds to continue functioning for the next month at most.

Some home truths from Fatah

Hamas kills aid workers to manufacture Gaza food crisis, Fatah charges

The Palestinian political faction Fatah charged on air that Hamas had deliberately killed aid workers, stolen aid and manufactured a food crisis in Gaza, according to a Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) investigation published on Sunday.  A Fatah TV anchor reported that Hamas had attacked aid workers, stolen food and water and caused food prices to skyrocket in the Gaza Strip – which PMW said constituted a triple crime. “Hamas’ persecution of any party who is a source for distributing the [humanitarian] aid or securing it began from the start of the war, as Hamas persecuted well-known figures and teams of volunteers on the ground in mid-October [2023],” the anchor said.

Fleeing Palestinians gunned down despite waving white flags, buildings flattened with whole families inside - the Israeli army has been widely condemned for its conduct in Gaza.

Israel blames Hamas for hiding behind civilians, and for starting the conflict with its October 7th attack.

It’s rare to hear from soldiers who’ve served on the ground, but tonight one Israeli soldier tells us that what he witnessed turned him against Israel’s war.

He's voiced by an actor to protect his identity. And a warning you may find some images upsetting.
