He should be moved to the mental asylum, bloody nutjob.

Why are we seeing so many foreigners in Thailand with mental illness?

There is something about Thailand that attracts lunatics from all over the world. A certain craziness in the air.

Also a magnet for halfwits, in evidence even on this forum:lots of supporters of the the Supreme orange retard.

He did not manage to control himself .

But a danger to the public ...?

After what you read in the daily news , many thais are a danger to the public as well ... What to do with them ?

Deport them all to Switzerland ?

If he can’t control his anger then yes, he is a danger to the public. What he did was totally unacceptable. We can all be a bit annoyed sometimes, being pushed in an airport queue, a rude answer, overcharged , but jumping on someone and putting them in hospital, does a normal person do that ? He needs locking up and deported , with a letter and photos for the Swiss authorities.

Does he declare to be offencive against Thai female lady? Yes or no?

Maybe Thai woman is offencive because she may went "voluntary" to the hospital for......beauty care.....! Ah....Thailand....!

Its not an "isolated" case dear Thais but it is "common sense" for westerner "large" visitors who visit Thailand that "locals" are "bus class" subordinate category of citizens.

Deport and ban entering the Kingdom at least 5 years because he insulted not only the Thai lady but also everyone average Thai citizens.

In Switzerland every citizen has a Swiss Army knife for their self defence and you have the right yourself to use it.

In case of Thailand what about if Thai lady has a kitchen knife and injured the "large" European citizen from Swiss Confederation? I omit the fact that the incidense occured infront of other ladies and kids.........

Maybe because of the lack of social fabric, whether it be families (decimated) or public programs (never adequate), to deal with their mental illness. They come here looking for an easy life and their problems come with them.  Maybe?

The Trang Immigration Office told the Phuket Express that Mr. Straumann is now on the ‘Watch List’. He is being banned from leaving the country.

A good alternative to visa extensions then!!

He was not "banned " from leaving the country, since he was being uncooperative, and a flight risk his passport was confiscated utili trial.

Same as would happen in any country

That's an outdated method, they use the Big C plastic bag over the head that tends to yield faster results

Provided the one being bagged survives.
