New e-Visa fees predicted to start tomorrow for all nationalities?

Sydney released the new e-visa system today and they included a list of all the visa fees. No change, still $60 for a tourist visa

given that sydney has replaced the previous $60 tourist visa with the new evisa system it would seem that the 19 January 2023 list of visa fees has been somewhat invalidated.

bearing in mind NZ and other countries evisa fee requirements can anyone confirm what sydney/canberra evisa fee requirements is.

The list of fees I provided is included on the new e-visa info page so no the fees are not invalidated. Tourist E-visa is listed at $60

which would make the australian evisa single entry tourist visa a lot less than the NZ $300 fee and the "all others" USD $82 fee.

Making NZ charges seem ridiculous or serious error. 

Even more so when a 3 month multi to Vietnam is 50 usd

So given a US tourist visa is $185 USD / $305 NZD (approx) we can expect a Thai Visa in the USA to cost the same as a Thai visa in New Zealand. $5 cheaper than the US charge, but $89 more than NZ charges?

 

Actually, come to think of it $300 NZD is weirdly similar to what the USA charges everyone including Thai. Is that what they have based the price on?

This is just politics playing out. NZ got pissed off and priced the visa fees to similar to what Thais pays for visa to NZ.

Years ago it was quite a common practice with low accommodation prices and saved lugging all belongings around. When the tsunami struck quite a few accommodation providers never saw some of their customers again.

Unfortunately inflation has taken it's toll and not so viable these days.

Where on earth did you get the idea that NZ got pissed off and priced visa fees at what Thais pay to visit NZ? This is 100% factually wrong. New Zealand does NOT price visas different for different nationalities and there has been no change in the price of visas to New Zealand recently, and certainly there is no pricing according to nationality.

Thai can get a 9 month tourist visa to NZ for that NZ$211. How is that justification for Thailand to charge NZ$300 for a 60 day tourist visa?

Additionally, some people would presumably be happy to pay extra for the convenience of not having to pack and unpack multiple times throughout their stay, even if they weren't intending to spend a significant amount of time in Bangkok.
