Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee posed tough questions to Fulton prosecutors, who argued that all of the defendants indicted on racketeering and 40 other charges last month should be tried at the same time, potentially as soon as the end of October (2023)

It may be beneficial to try some of the small fry in advance, get convictions, and then leverage the convictions into cooperation deals.

That would presume the scheduling of who would be in the first round would be up to the Prosecution.

I'm with Viva Frei in betting she's gone long before Trump goes on trial. 

 

The legal pundits (not all Trump fans) think the judge wrote his ruling in a way that makes it almost impossible for the inevitable appellate ruling to come down in her favor.  He did it that way to keep her blood off of his hands for his re-election in a few months.

Totally agree. She should concentrate on her own mounting issues. She's on thin ice and it's about to break.

For starters, McAfee has expressed skepticism that all the defendants can be tried at once. That likely would mean multiple trials, along with difficult decisions for the prosecution about which of the remaining 15 defendants should be tried together.
