PM orders assurance of proper care for Thai workers killed and injured in Taiwan

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has ordered the relevant authorities to ensure that the families of the two Thai workers killed in Taiwan are appropriately compensated, and that the third Thai worker, who was seriously injured, receives proper care, said Government Spokesman Chai Wacharonke today.

 

The spokesman said the families of the two Thais who died will each receive 40,000 baht and actual funeral expenses, not exceeding 40,000 baht. The injured man will receive 30,000 baht in compensation and, if he wants to fly back to Thailand, he will receive another 15,000 baht in travelling expenses, he added.

 

Two Thai workers were killed and another seriously injured in an explosion at an aluminium factory in Taiwan on Saturday.
