He knows that.  He just attacks me because he does not want to have to answer things like: "What should the punishment be for intentionally closing a bridge and significantly disrupting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and costing the state and private citizens hundreds of thousands of pounds." 

 

The answer is likely that supports the protestors and does not want them to be punished at all. What negative impact the protestors have on working class people is of no concern to him or the protestors.
