Looking for the 'best' ENT doctor in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Especially nose and ear. I've been to RAM hospital and Rajvithi Clinic in old town already, but looking for alternate options.

If you know of doctor that takes his time with the patient and listens to his issues and doesn't just prescribe over the counter antibiotics, that's a plus.

Thank you !

There was a pretty sharp younger gal at Lanna hospital on the super highway.

Really? i live next to Lanna hospital like literally next to it, but heard bad reviews from both friends and Google... do you happen to know her name?

I have been going to Dr Chalermpong at Ram for years. He does do exams before making a treatment recommendation.

I don't know about "best", but I found Dr Tapanut Ariyanon (lady) at Sriphat OPD very knowledgeable and thorough, and as a plus that new building is a joy compared to some older private establishments. Mind you, this was late 2022 and my issue was actually more about T than EN.

If you went to Ram you did not see Dr.Chalermpong or you would not have needed to make this post

Suggest you make an appointment to see him

This guy is absolutely the best https://maps.app.goo.gl/JQ14HQutsVwLJMCq7

Maybe he is good, but I didn't see any evidence of it.

I did see that he has no modern equipment. He uses spirit lamps and implements that seem to be imported from a witch doctor 's hut. He didn't even have an x-ray viewer. I took a film and he took it outside and peered at it against some light.

This was a couple of years ago. If he has modernized since then - my apologies in that case.

If you want all the frills, then go see him at C.M. Ram. But you will pay much, much more. For complex issues and surgery he will of course tell you to come to see him at C.M.Ram.

no that hasn't changed, but his advice were much better than any more 'modern' doctors when i went to see him... previous reputable ENT i went to several times could not really understand my issue and kept prescribing antibiotics and talked about surgery. Dr. Chalermpong was more direct in his diagnosis , no bs. And in the end, his treatment proved the best one

To the posters above:

Those are not frills, they are essentials in a medical office, and have been for decades.

And I went to McCormick, where the lady was much more articulate, and appeared more knowledgeable.

However...if you believe in someone that won't easily change.

What is her name?  Did she cure you or just impress you with speech and knowledge?

Simple. Then go see him at C.M. Ram where he sees patients during the day. He has everything there.

Anothai Pornlert.

She is there Tue, Thurs, Sun for a couple hours in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. You will have to check.

The hospital has other ENTs when she is not there, but I have no experience with them.
