Pattaya — A Thai man mistakenly attacked a Bolt driver in Pattaya, thinking the driver was the new boyfriend of his former girlfriend.

On Thursday, April 4th, 2024, Mr. Pairat Songsod, a 40-year-old Bolt driver, filed a complaint with Pol. Lt. Phuttharak Sonkhamhan, Deputy Inspector of Investigation at Pattaya Police Station, after being assaulted by the ex-boyfriend of his female passenger, Ms. Kulrat (family name withheld), 24.

According to Mr. Pairat, he had parked his car, which was still running, at a bar on Chaiyapruek 1 Road, waiting to pick up Ms. Kulrat, his passenger, who he had never met before and who had booked a ride on the mobile Bolt application on the day of the incident. However, as the young woman was getting into the car, a young, unidentified man suddenly opened the door and started hitting Ms. Kulrat.

Feeling concerned for the woman, Mr. Pairat locked his car doors for safety. However, this angered the attacker, who mistakenly thought Mr. Pairat was Ms. Kulrat’s new boyfriend, according to the woman.

Yes, your Honor, I plead guilty! 😏

She had already reported him to the cops before, for stalking her and harassing her, more inactive RTP. Wonkers.

If this was a foreigner especially in Phuket there would be protests and press releases by MPs calling for harsh measures against foreigners.

No Skippy, it's  'Couldn't'  give whatever, in English anyway.

It would also be possible to just add a question mark, thus:

"I could give a ****?"

or

"Like I could give a ****?"

I believe those are popular ways to express lack of concern.

No Enoon. The correct expression is 'Couldn't give a f...k" meaning that you have nothing left to give.

Not popular ways in countries which speak 'proper English'

I suppose the addition of the ?, changing it's meaning to 'Do you think I could give a f....k'? making it a question, whereas 'I couldn't give the aforementioned action makes it a statement
