Social Media Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 House conservatives, particularly the far-right faction known as the House Freedom Caucus, have established a specialized group to safeguard their influence within the chamber. Dubbed the Floor Action Response Team (FART), this cadre of conservative lawmakers is tasked with vigilantly monitoring House floor proceedings to ensure that no measures are introduced that could undermine their power. Led by Speaker Mike Johnson, the Freedom Caucus is determined to prevent any attempts by fellow Republicans to diminish their authority or limit their ability to influence legislative outcomes. In light of recent tensions within the GOP, particularly surrounding the passage of the $1.2 trillion government funding bill and additional aid to Ukraine, the Freedom Caucus remains on high alert for any perceived threats to their position. The catalyst for the formation of FART was a motion filed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former Freedom Caucus member, seeking to potentially remove Speaker Johnson from his leadership role. This move exacerbated existing divisions within the party, prompting concerns among conservatives about potential challenges to their control. Rep. Thomas Massie, a libertarian-leaning Republican, has publicly expressed support for Greene's efforts, signaling broader dissatisfaction within GOP ranks with Speaker Johnson's leadership. The Freedom Caucus, along with allies like Massie, is wary of further attempts by centrist Republicans to undermine their influence, particularly regarding the composition of the powerful House Rules Committee. The inclusion of Massie, Rep. Chip Roy, and Ralph Norman on the House Rules Committee, despite objections from some within the party, has been a point of contention. These conservative lawmakers have leveraged their positions to block initiatives supported by Speaker Johnson, prompting calls for their resignation or removal from the committee. The tension within the GOP underscores broader divisions within the party, with competing factions vying for control and influence. As the dynamics continue to evolve, the role of groups like FART in safeguarding conservative interests within the House of Representatives is likely to remain significant. 2024-04-19 Source 1
impulse Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Agree with them, disagree with them, it's nice to have a party where the members are free to vote their conscience and to benefit their constituents and not just the party line. What's good for Maine may not be good for Arizona. Dems, on the other hand... One of us. One of us... We won't even let you on the ballot if you disagree with the Party Elite, regardless of what your constituents want. 1

Popular Post Tug Posted April 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2024 Queff perhaps would be a better choice for Marge……what it really is is a possie patrolling the house floor to make sure no republican reaches across the isle to actually accomplish legislation and make sure the retrumplikan party doesn’t do anything that could possibly hurt Putin’s agenda at the behest of one Donald jhon trump 2 1
Popular Post Walker88 Posted April 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 20, 2024 Who do those silly Democrats think they are that the Legislative Branch of government is supposed to legislate? Better all those 435 folks in the House are Performance Artists. Give us more lunatics like MTG, Matt "PizzaGaetz", Lauren Bimbobert (the non-high school graduate), and Gym "That's Strauss" Jordan! 2 1

Most of the conservative nutters have done little to introduce legislation that actually helps their constituents, much less passed any. They just do Trump's bidding and cause problems. 4
Roo Island Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 They should all be fired. https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/03/politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-twitter-permanent-ban/index.html So, one quarter of Greene’s legislative action over the past year has been aimed at impeaching the sitting president. And more than a third of her overall efforts are either about impeaching Biden or getting Waters thrown off of committees and/or expelled from Congress. Not one of the nine bills she proposed became law. Not one of the seven resolutions she proposed were approved by the full House. 1

Border control and illegal immigration have been a political hot spot for decades. Seems like politicians don't want to make the necessary changes. They use it as an issue to get elected. Trump surely does, along with faux News 1
Popular Post Emdog Posted April 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 21, 2024 The FART team collects evidence, gets it together, and passes it to the Special House Investigative Team (the ones have this team for brains) who bring it to the house floor and leave it there, preferably in a flaming bag 1 2
