Help...my visa extension (visit wife + 60 days) has expired 3 days

Recommended Posts

I did have a Non-O visa (married) single entree and extended that with 60 days
It will expire by 10 may,but my Visarun by land (Savannakhet) is on 13 may
How i solve this problem
Must i go Wattana?
Can i "overstay" for 3 days and pay a fine with NO consequences

Please suggestions

Book a refundable flight out of thailand to Laos and get an emergency up to 7 day extension from immigration if you don't want to overstay. If asked any questions after, just say you decided to travel by land instead of air after getting the extension.

You had a 90 day visa and a 60 day extension but you couldn't plan to depart by day 150 of stay?

Anyone that plans for a 3 day overstay deserves to get fined lots in my opinion. Having said that people that do plan to overstay seem to forget that if caught on even 1 day overstay they can get a 5 year ban from Thailand

It's a bad idea to travel overland in border areas with an overstay, as you could be unfortunate enough to get caught at a checkpoint. Just travel to Laos earlier than planned.

just pay for the overstay

Poor advice.

Especially given fact of going to Savannakhet to apply for a single entry non O

Giving this explanation to an immigration official will probably make him suspect that you are working illegally in Thailand and he might take action accordingly.
