In a poignant gesture, the late Medgar Evers, a revered civil rights leader, will be posthumously honored, underscoring his enduring legacy in the fight for equality and justice.

 

President Biden himself is a recipient of the Medal of Freedom With Distinction, a rare distinction reserved for extraordinary individuals.
