And they sent the number three guy from Biden's DOJ....

To bring forward a case that the DOJ declined to prosecute, as well as Bragg's predecessor.

I’m sure you do.   I love it when Trump fans run out of arguments and resort to making baseless assumptions about those whose opinion they can’t deal with.

  • Poor poor trump so mistreated gee wizz you’d think hoseing a porn star as the wife stays home taking care of the new born was bad…..then trying to hide it during the election and using campaign funds

Sure.  Just like I'd trust a jury in Laurel Mississippi in the trial of a Black man accused of raping a white girl.

They selected the venue based on a guy who ran on "get Trump", in an area that voted overwhelmingly against Trump, and they hand selected a judge that supports his political opponent and whose daughter is making a fortune working for the opponent.

What could possibly be unfair?

The venue is NY because the alleged crimes were committed in NY.

NY is a pretty big state, but you know that.

Good. Guilty and convicted for sure then.

Typical leftist ideology!  No concern for the truth.

Only the weaponsization of the justice system to go after political opponents.

Straight out of the Marxist/Facist playbook.

Payback will be brutal come November.

I did.

And I also know it doesn’t extend to Laurel Mississippi.

Of course DOJ prosecuted, they convicted Michael Cohen. But DOJ policy did not let them prosecute a sitting president.

Your Internet friends have lied to you again.

It was Trump's decision to do his criming in NYC.

Even the dumbest voters know the difference between being compelled to be there, and choosing to be there.

That's the problem with Team Biden (and the Dem Elite in general).  They think American voters are idiots, and can't be trusted with important decisions.

In other words, you got nothing.

That's on Merrick Garland.

He did the best he could by sending his number three guy to New York to make up the current debacle.

The jury is now deliberating.

Meanwhile, the Trump fans here are spewing excuses and false equivalencies.

Well, if a celebrity said it, it must be true.

Trump is just a victim.

Everyone is lying about him.

The Prosecution is inventing crimes to put Trump in jail.

Joe Biden is behind all these indictments.

Or, Trump is guilty.

Since the jury is in the deliberation stage, now is the time for idle speculation.

Yesterday the jury sent two notes out to the judge. The first asked for more information and details of the Pecker testimony as well as the ‘catch and kill’ scheme to prevent negative info affecting the defendant’s election chances. That suggests they have moved well past Michael Cohen and how the defense tried to make the case all about Cohen’s credibility. Not good for the defendant.

The second note asked the judge to reiterate the jury instructions. The idea of ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ is often misinterpreted as ‘no doubt whatsoever’, when in reality it means what seems absent of doubt to a reasonable extent. For example, I have no reasonable doubt that Elvis is dead, but since I never saw the body and there are still people saying Elvis is in the house, I cannot say 100% Elvis is dead. Of course he is, just like the defendant schtupped Stormy and McDougal and paid to keep it out of the news so as not to affect his chances in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape. Zero 'reasonable doubt', despite their being no horrific video of their trysts...thankfully.

I would guess there is currently zero chance of an acquittal, so the only hope the defendant has of not being declared a convicted felon is a hung jury.

Incidentally, becoming a convicted felon has consequences. The felon will no longer be able to own a firearm in the US, and if he has any in his country club or anywhere else, he will have to turn them over to law enforcement. Additionally, he will no longer be allowed to vote in the State where he lives, Florida.

The maximum sentence, if I read the news correctly, is 4 years in prison. Now there’s a silver lining there for the consummate grifter: he can begin to sell all sorts of merchandise carrying his name and "2028".

The FEC declined to pursue the campaign finance violation because Michael Cohen had already pled guilty.

But, you knew that when you posted, because you cannot control your desire to post misinformation for Trump.

the election was in 2016, and Cohen did not plead guilty until 2018, as part of sentence reduction for his tax evasions convictions he was looking at 50 years for. But you've known that every time you've posted the lie.

What, are they paying attention? Not to worry, if he tries to hang the jury, the judge can replace him with one of the alternates.

You seem reality challenged.

I have posted this before, but your amnesia kicked in.

I am not sure if the judge can remove a juror who is not deliberating.

Unlike you, I don't post declarations that are merely opinions.

My opinion is that the jury request for a reading of the jury instructions indicate that the majority of the jury is trying to convince the minority (or a single juror) to convict, and the holdout(s) claimed the evidence is only circumstantial.

I still worry about a lone holdout, either a Trump fan, or someone worried about the impact of a conviction on them or their family.

And Juror #1 was the only juror who got their news from (among other sources) Fox News and The Daily Mail.
