snoop1130 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 In a heart-wrenching incident, the tranquil morning calm of Phuket's bypass road was shattered when a 23-year-old Russian woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck. The harrowing accident occurred in the early hours of the day near the southbound lanes approaching the Samkong Underpass. The Phuket City Police, swiftly responding to the emergent call at 2.17am, found a bleak scene awaiting them: a Ford Ranger pickup motionless in an otherwise quiet road, an eerie prelude to horrors nearby. Also on site were the devoted folks from the Kusoldharm Foundation, a local rescue team. Just 15 metres away lay the lifeless body of the young Russian woman. Clad in a black crop top and black pants, she appeared eerily out of place in the serene roadside setting, a tragic testament to the abruptness of the accident. She was promptly transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further examination. Casting light on the incident, eyewitnesses recounted a chilling tale to the police. The pickup, they said, was traversing the southbound lanes of the bypass road when the woman seemingly rushed out in front of it. Despite the driver's desperate attempts to swerve and stop, the collision, sadly, could not be averted. Phuket City Police are leaving no stone unturned in their investigations. Statements were taken at the scene, and the procedure to alert the Russian consul is currently underway to break the devastating news to the victim's family. At present, the investigation is still ongoing as the police delve into the incident's every detail. The identity of the young woman involved in the accident is being temporarily withheld out of respect for her grieving family, who are soon to receive news of this unfortunate event. Grotesque, melodramatic, overwrought, mannered, self-indulgent. This being the third post critiquing it, and not discussing the notional "story", is evidence as to how inappropriate and distracting it is. 2 13

Popular Post richard_smith237 Posted May 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2024 RIP to the poor lady of course..... But... on the article itself... here goes... In the tender embrace of Phuket's bypass road, amidst the gentle caress of the morning sun, destiny wove a tale of love and loss. A radiant soul, just 23 summers young, graced the pathway with her presence, her heart brimming with dreams yet to unfold. But fate, ever the capricious matchmaker, intervened in the most tragic of ways. As the first light of day painted the sky in hues of soft pastels, her path intersected with that of a pickup truck, setting in motion a fateful encounter neither could have foreseen. In that fleeting moment, amidst the whispers of dawn, love and tragedy intertwined, leaving behind a poignant tale etched in the annals of time. 1 2 3 1 2 11

Not everyone grew up in a convent Oh Holier Than Thou Sister.... Maybe she was coming back from a family party, maybe she had an argument with her partner and stormed out of the car nearby... maybe she was wondering the streets due to mental problems...... not everyone is as perfect and pure as you... 2 3 1

Maybe. 🤔 In the recent past, when we were able to read the profile of the Thaiger 'journalists', not one of them had formal training as such. Which is probably why they have to get AI to write the reports for them. And so we get garbage like this. What I struggle to understand is how and why a news organisation thinks this is okay. They very clearly have no professional standards. All they produce is an exercise in pointless and irritating flamboyance which detracts rather than enhances the report. Tip to Thaiger - read a proper newspaper sometime to see how it's done. 4
