This shocking incident took place in their shared home in the Bang Phli district of Samut Prakarn, near Bangkok. Phichate, consumed by rage after discovering incriminating messages and pictures on his 14-year-old girlfriend’s phone, confronted Phongsathorn in his sleep and shot him multiple times. The police found Phongsathorn dead on his bed, with several gunshot wounds to his neck, eye, and body, and drug paraphernalia scattered around the room. Immediately after the crime, Phichate turned himself in at Bang Phli Police Station, bringing the modified blank gun used in the shooting. During questioning, Phichate revealed his history of depression and physical altercations, which might shed light on his state of mind at the time. Phichate's girlfriend denied having an affair, stating their relationship was purely platonic. Despite this, Phichate now faces charges of intentional murder, with potential penalties ranging from 15 years of imprisonment to the death penalty. He is also charged with violating firearm regulations, though specific details were not disclosed by the authorities. -- 2024-05-16 Get our Daily Newsletter - Click HERE to subscribe 1

It sounds like these friends had not matured in a good environment. (I saw drugs mentioned. If it was Yaba then sex may very well have been involved).
Korat Kiwi Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Hells bells... Obviously thinking with the wrong head. 14yrs old... Probably a good thing for her that this boy will be out of her life for some time. 1

Even though the girl claims that she didn't cheat, he still faces a murder charge? Was there ever any chance that that would have any effect on what he was charged with?

Sad but true. 1
