Nothing can call for the way the gourds were acting, as they should have the training and mentality to handle things without violence or only subdue people if necessary until police arrives. But, yes, I knew, but not defending the outcome, that the Brits did not accept the way and culture, as they started to point and one actually wanted to fight with the guards. They walked around showing anger in public and where screaming. Basically doing everything to escalate the problem. They should have asked the bar to call the cops or continued to keep the argument and discussion on a decent level.

The problem with your entire response is that they were likely drunk - and made an unwise decision possibly - but to expect a two-week visit tourist to have some sort of understanding and acceptance of Thai culture is nonsense. I would not expect a Thai person on two week holiday in the UK understand or accept UK culture.  The guards however, should have been the ones calming the whole thing down and calling the police - the job of a bouncer is not to see who can deliver the biggest kicking, but to de- escalate the situation, violence in defence is the last resort, not the preferred option. Especially when your job involves interacting with people who are a little bit worse for wear after a night on the lash. 

 

If the roles were reversed and the tourist had delivered a similar kicking to the guards - Off with their heads, deport, hang em high etc etc would be expected outcome - not siding with them!!

From the video inside the bar & other commentary it looked like the guy in the black shirt (believe it was actually blue ) who looks like he's trying to calm it all down outside was actually the one who didn't pay his bill (Hence White shirt was adamant he'd already paid his & wouldn't pay again) & he was also the guy who shoved the other Farang outside.

The kicking of the doctor pales into insignificance by comparison if he even did kick her, it certainly was not shown clearly in the related video.

What part of the video and cctv footage of this incident would you say were not clear?    The only rumours connected to this incident were the broken nose of a bar girl  which has never been mentioned in any report , and the death of one of the guys which has not yet been confirmed or denied'

The problem with my response in none at all. You should always have control, and never drink more than you can maintain your control. People that say they can´t have fun without being drunk have no clue about how life works. Ok, you do not have to understand culture and ways after only 14 days. However, you must be as smart as you understand how to not escalate a problem instead of screaming, acting aggressive and asking for a fight. That has actually not anything with culture to do. Just common sense, that these guys seem to have a severe lack of.

I do not need to repeat that I am not condoning what the guards did. I already explained that.
