Morakot
I have an offer for a new (sliding) gate made of a stainless steel frame with aluminium panels These are the specs: Frame: Stainless steel (grade 304), Square Hollow Section (SHS) 1.5 mm thickness Panels: Aluminium 1.0 mm, power-coated Guide price (with installation) 5,900 per sqm. Discounted price for buying two gates: 4,700 per sqm. My questions: Is that a reasonable price for that type of steel? Is the thickness of the SHS 304 steel sufficient for this type construction (which is basically a rectangular 1.5m x 2.8 m)? stubuzz
Last quote i had was 4500 sqm all stainless. Mixing the materials will cause galvanic corrosion where they join.
