Bangkok air smells like garbage tonight

Not like pollution....literally garbage like I'm near the dump.

 

What could this be? Musty wet garbage smell.

where are you, there's garbage mountain in Samut Prakarn and depends on the wind it could be smelled far away

Bad smells often from the sewage and dependent on weather and rain.

Pattaya sewage notorious. Often manholes covered with mats in front of bars etc.

I take the same walk a few times a week in Bangkok. I know the areas where it's best not to breathe for a short time. There's the garbage smelling area followed by the sewage smelling area by the small canal. 🤢

What you are smelling when it rains is usually sewer, not garbage.

 

There seem to be a lot more rats around when it's wet as well. They seem to feel safer coming out when it's raining.
