Do Phuket condos actually go up in price over the years?
In Thailand it seems supply is way more than demand so that keeps prices down, but if you buy at a good price you have a good chance of making money, i see that since covid prices and rents have dramatically increased (my condo and ones i see on Facebook marketplace). If you buy at top of the market i.e. off plan new builds, they will struggle to go up -

Accident Two Novice Monks Drown in Chao Phraya River During Secret Night Swim
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. An incident has shaken a local temple community in Ayutthaya after the bodies of two novice monks were discovered floating in the Chao Phraya River early morning on 30 June, days after they secretly went swimming with a group of friends during the night. At approximately 07:00, Pol. Lt. Manoch Ritthipul, investigative officer at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station, was alerted to the discovery of two bodies near the pier of Wat Phutthaisawan in Samphao Lom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District. Police investigators, forensic doctors from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital and rescue personnel from the Ayutthaya Ruamjai Association responded to the scene. The bodies were identified as 15-year-old Novice Nitikon and 13-year-old Novice Krisada, both found bloated and clad only in their saffron robes. No signs of physical assault were observed on the bodies. Their deaths were initially treated as accidental drownings. According to Mr. Uthis Boonchit, 64, a local resident who had been fishing on the opposite riverbank late on the night of 28 June, he witnessed some novice monks playing in the water near the riverbank but did not intervene. Upon hearing of the recovery of the bodies, he was convinced they belonged to the same group he had seen. Mr. Anuroj Haruthaithip, 55, the temple’s lay caretaker at Wat Kasattrathirat Worawihan, confirmed the deceased novices had been residing and studying there for approximately two months. When the boys went missing, inquiries were made with their original temple in Bang Pahan District, but they had not returned there either. A missing persons report was filed with local police. Initially, none of the other novices admitted to knowing their whereabouts. However, a breakthrough came when photos emerged showing a group of novices swimming together at the river pier on the night of 28 June. When questioned, six novices featured in the images eventually confessed to having snuck out for a late-night swim but claimed they had no idea when the two missing boys disappeared beneath the water. They admitted to staying silent out of fear of punishment. Police have documented the scene and will conduct further questioning of the six surviving novices to clarify the sequence of events. The bodies have been transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pathum Thani for a full autopsy to determine the precise cause of death. Relatives of the deceased have also been notified. Fire Fire Erupts at Tissue Paper Factory in Saraburi, Reports of People Trapped Inside
UPDATE Saraburi: Eight Confirmed Dead, Two Still Missing After Inferno at Tissue Factory Picture from responders. In a devastating industrial disaster, eight workers have been confirmed dead and two others remain unaccounted for following a major fire that tore through a tissue paper factory in Nong Khae district, Saraburi. The blaze, which broke out at a facility producing tissue paper, rapidly consumed large parts of the building due to the highly flammable materials inside. According to initial reports, ten employees were trapped inside the office area on the second and third floors when the fire erupted. Despite the immediate response from emergency services and hours of relentless firefighting, the fire could not be brought under control before claiming multiple lives. Fire crews were hampered by dense paper stockpiles that fuelled the flames and by dangerous structural instability as parts of the building’s floors began to collapse. Rescue operations were further delayed due to the intense heat and unsafe conditions inside the plant. Authorities were forced to focus on extinguishing the fire before they could safely enter the building in search of the missing. Once the fire was brought under partial control, emergency responders recovered eight charred bodies from the wreckage. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, pending forensic investigation. Two workers are still missing, and the search continues under increasingly difficult conditions. In response to the incident, local officials established a command centre at the scene to coordinate rescue, recovery, and support efforts. Lists of missing Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire, but early indications suggest it began in an office area. The presence of flammable materials allowed the fire to spread with alarming speed through the upper levels of the factory. Authorities have yet to release an estimate of the financial damage, though losses are expected to be significant. The disaster marks one of the most severe industrial fires in the province in recent memory. The operation to locate the two missing workers is ongoing, with emergency teams committed to continuing their search throughout the night, with crews also dampening down hot spots in areas that continue to burn.
