A father mourned the loss of his 35 year old son, who succumbed to an overdose of sedatives amid ongoing stress and health issues. The incident occurred yesterday in their home at 50/3 Soi Thetsaban Phatthana 3, Wat Mai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chanthaburi.

To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Thailand incinerated over 20 tonnes of confiscated narcotics valued at a staggering 6.45 billion baht yesterday, June 26.

Renowned human rights activist and widow of kidnapped lawyer Somchai Neelapaijit, Angkhana Neelapaijit secured a seat in the Senate as a representative of the civil sector and NGOs. Thailand Leases Government Land to Enhance Residents' Living Conditions

The Thai Government has started a project where they will rent out government-owned land to citizens in nine regions, with an aim to improve their living conditions. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Finance, is expected to help about 1,900 people over the next six months, by covering over 2,767 acres of land.

17 Lao Women and 2 Thai Employers Arrested in Chon Buri Raids

Early this morning, the Royal Thai Police in Chon Buri arrested 17 Laos women and two Thai business owners during a raid at karaoke bars and restaurants in Laem Chabang. It was a response to reports about undocumented migrant workers. Over 20 immigration officers targeted various entertainment locations in the Si Racha tourist district around 1 am.

Woman with mental health issues carries out random arson attack on a bank

A woman believed to be mentally ill is suspected to be behind a recent fire at a bank in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The police found her at her home, where she threatened to start another fire. The woman's family asserts she is mentally ill and an arrest warrant is being issued.

Slippery highway causes bus to overturn, injuring 37 passengers

Yesterday, a public bus veered off the road in Nakhon Ratchasima, hit a lamp post, and capsized due to a slippery highway. As a result, 37 passengers were injured; 19 were men and 18 were women.
