Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has officially launched the Phenix project, an ambitious initiative designed to establish Thailand as a global food wholesale hub.

The project, supported by Thailand’s leading real estate group, Asset World Corporation (AWC), aims to attract global food industry professionals and promote Thai cuisine on the international stage.

The Phenix project seeks to foster collaboration and innovation within the global food industry by creating a platform for professionals to exchange knowledge and develop new food technologies. Srettha emphasised that this initiative could significantly enhance Thailand's trade opportunities, benefiting both domestic and international markets.

The Prime Minister highlighted the role of both public and private sectors in supporting the Phenix project. He noted that the collaboration is crucial for promoting Thai cuisine and boosting Thailand’s tourism industry, positioning the country as a key player in the global food market.

The project will also feature food lounges with renowned food stores, offering unique culinary experiences for Thai and international tourists. This aligns with Thailand’s broader soft power strategy to enhance its cultural influence.

In line with the Phenix project, the Thai government previously rolled out the “5 Must Do in Thailand” strategy. This strategy aims to attract tourists by offering diverse and engaging activities.

The five key components include:

1. Must Eat**: Savouring regional foods.
2. Must See**: Immersing in Thai local traditions.
3. Must Seek**: Discovering hidden gems across the country.
4. Must Buy**: Purchasing local, authentic products.
5. Must Beat**: Participating in adventurous and challenging sports.

These activities will be available across Thailand's five regions throughout the year, enhancing the country's attractiveness to both food enthusiasts and adventure seekers.

The combination of the Phenix project and the “5 Must Do in Thailand” strategy reflects Thailand's proactive approach to boosting its economy through tourism and the food industry, firmly positioning itself as a pivotal food wholesale hub on the global stage.

Funny, he was balling for the conflict in ukraine to stop fearing that if it continued it would affect the global food chain. Yet, he sides with Putin and refused to sign the recent petition against russia. I guess its clear he wants to buy his wheat to make thai mama noodles from russia.

Clown face needs to leave and take all his clowns with him, being led by the elephant in the room... taxsin

More dreams from the desperate officials with no idea how to run a country.

Is there a reason this project is named 'Phenix'? What does it mean?

At first I thought it was a typo and was meant to be Phoenix, being a project rising from the ashes of the burned out forests of northen provinces......😋
