Phuket bank manager’s pickup truck mishap

A bank credit manager crashed his pickup truck into the back of a parked trailer in Phuket, causing significant damage. Police promptly investigated the scene. The trailer driver reported hearing a loud noise around 5.40am today, June 28.

Pattaya club chaos: Manager stabbed by bartender

A tragedy was narrowly avoided at a newly opened club in South Pattaya when the manager was stabbed by a bartender. Pattaya City police officers responded to the assault report at 4.06am yesterday, June 27, finding 48 year old Peerasak Saeng-arun with a severe stab wound to his torso. Rescuers provided first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Man previously mauled by bear returns for illegal agarwood harvest

Nakhon Ratchasima National Park officers apprehended a man deep within Khao Yai National Park for illicitly harvesting agarwood. The man, previously mauled by a bear, was caught with 5 kilogrammes of the valuable wood, worth approximately 80,000 baht, and tools used for extraction.

Thailand's transport ministry has pledged to strengthen measures against overweight trucks and aims to eliminate corruption related to highway usage to enhance road safety. Two political groups have called upon a special House committee to consider including breaches of Section 112 of the Criminal Code, also referred to as the lese majeste law, in future proposals for amnesty laws. They want opposition to those behind the coup to be recognized, rather than opposition to the monarchy itself.

Ex-rock band member relentlessly targeted by online scams

Chaiyakorn Duangwong, a member of the famous 90s Thai rock band Fly, recently became a victim of online scam. A fraudster tricked him into sharing his one-time password (OTP), and then hacked his Facebook account before asking for money from his family and friends. The incident was reported at the Sai Noi Police Station in Nonthaburi by Chaiyakorn, his wife, Rakthapa Wiriyah, and advisor Atthiwat Sirikangwanwong.
