Kenchamp
We have a Honda Scoopy that is about 2 years old with 14000 km on the clock. Everything is fine with the bike apart from this whining or whisling type sound particularly between 40-60 kmph. I have noticed quite a few Honda scooters seem to have this same noise and wondered if it was a common fault and how easy would it be to fix. It doesn't affect the way the scooter runs but i find it a bit annoying and so would rather not have it.
novacova
Can’t say without inspection, possibly belt slipping or worn bearings.
Agusts
Bearing noise you might be able to hear if put it on center stand and turn the rear wheel hard enough by hand..., but not always. If noise only at high speed then not easy this way... Can ask one of the corner shops to open CVT cover, then rev it on center stand, and try to see if it's from the belt or clutch or somewhere else..., Scoopy repair and parts are so cheap though, it can't cost much ..., unless going to Honda shop...!!! 😉
