No, we have to reduce the use of Hydrocarbons. To reduce the amount of sunshine will destroy the Flora.

Cooling the planet is not the aim.

The aim is to stop it getting generally too hot to support life.

The problem is the so called Greenhouse gasses which are preventing heat from the sun being radiated back out into space.

The ozone layer, for those unaware, is what protects us from the worst ravages of the suns relentless energy. Without it there would be no life as we know it.

Holes in this ozone layer let in huge amounts of unwanted energy from the sun, far more than that which can escape from earth into space.

The ozone layer is crucial for life on Earth due to its role in protecting the planet from harmful ultraviolet ( UV-B and UV-C ) radiation from the sun.
