60 day extension of 90 day NON-O to visit wife

Featured Replies

What are the requirements for applying for 60 day extension of 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage, are they the same paperwork as for a one year extention, with photos and also does wife need to attend as well same as for one year extension?

Same paperwork copies as for the year extension, except no Bank letter, no updated Bank book, no photos, and yes your wife has to go because she's the reason you're getting the extension

Can we get 60day extension after each 90 day Non "O". Or is it 1x per year?

This has been asked previously.

Is your plan to obtain a non O and then 60 day extension.

Then exit Thailand wash and repeat.

And no it's NOT one per year.

Pretty sure the 60 day extension can be applied for with every valid entry to Thailand, not just once a year.

(As you said previously "Your friend could do a border bounce and enter visa exempt and be given a 30 stamp and that can be extended by 60 to visit wife.

He could do that twice per calendar year. So 30+60 and repeat= 180days.")

Yes my post was typo.

It's once per entry except for reentry permit.

Can enter on a visa exempt or tourist visa or multi entry visa and obtain or single entry non O etc and be able to apply for 60 day extension to visit family.

Incorrect post corrected

So if I was an a Non O - 90 day.....  Is the following possible

- Obtain 90 Day Non O at local Thai immigration ( in Thailand )

- Obtain single use Re-entry Permit.

- Leave Thailand via Laos Border

- Re-enter Thailand same day

- How many days would Thai Immigration Stamp me back in for??  ( until original expiry date of the Non O ?? )

No sense in doing  that.

The non O would provide a 90 day stamp.

The reentry permit would have expiry date same as the "until date" on your 90 day stamp.

You would gain nothing by doing border bounce

Thanks for the reply.

I was wanting to ascertain if you would get a new 90 days!

Think maybe you are slightly confused with a single entry non O and a multi entry non O .

The single give you a 90 day stamp upon entry and at that point it's "used".

The next step is to obtain a 12 month extension.

The other extension possible is 60 day to visit family.

The non O multiple entry is a different animal.

It cannot be obtained in Thailand.

You obtain that visa at consulate or Thai embassies.

It is valid for 12 months and allows a stay of 90 days each entry.

Lot of married guys obtain this visa instead of the single entry with it's 12 month extension.
