Ok so you fly into Thailand

You get 60 days and one extension for 30 days =90 days

Then you do your 2 allowed border runs

60 days plus one extension 30 days =90 days

and

60 days plus one extension 30 days =90 days

Now your up to 270 days and a tax resident  with no visa

malaysia, 90 day on arrival, for years already

What remains to be seen is whether you are allowed to extend it at the immigration office. Chiang Rai used to give me one 60 day extension and one 30 day extension on each entry based upon having a dependent child (daughter at university).

It's a 30 days extension as usual for a 60-day entry. Confirmed by Immigration.

Summariy - Thailand has opened it's borders.

Bad news for local Thai's, and those who enjoy the beauty of Thailand. It will be an awful experience now.
