hello everone.

Can i get a visa entering vietnam at the border ?i have australian passport with a 30 day stamp leaving thailand.

You can get a visa on arrival, but you must get a letter from Vietnam immigration authorising its issuance.

Really not any easier, but there are some practical reasons for obtaining.

The easiest way to obtain such a letter is from a Vietnamese travel agent. I have done this in Vietnam, and have known some to do likewise in the US. They just need a copy of your passport, and about two days. Cost is about $20USD, and a copy of the letter suffices. Upon arrival you need to pay $25 USD (cheaper than from home), 2 passport photos, and fill out the visa form for presenting with the letter.
