Condition Visa

Featured Replies

I am UK citizen, 34 years old. Came to Thailand on Non-Imm type b...from job offer. Didn't take 1st job...eventually Non-Imm B visa neared expiry. I was employed by a company, had a work permit and when the Non-imm B expired was given a conditional visa....5months extension as this was easier for immigration officials. Another 5 months extension was gained by showing evidence of company tax payments on my behalf. I have since left the job and surrendered the work permit. The labour dept said I didn't need to go to immigration or leave country until the conditional 5 month extension is due to expire. I have since worked only part time casually (no WP)and intend to go home just before the visa expires.

Will I have a problem at the airport?......or is everything in order.

Provided your visa is still valid when you leave there should be no problem.

I doubt that anyone at the airport will worry about work permits as you are leaving.

Thanks for the reply Astral.......

Just to confirm do I need any Tax papers (not the defunct clearance certificate mentioned on TMcard) ????

I have copies of my Personla tax returns from my company for the last 3 month period.....will that do?

Thanks in anticipation.

As far as I know you should have no problems at all.

Those tax clearance certificates are a thing of the distant past.

However just to be safe, have the tax returns in you hand baggage, but I doubt you will need them.
