A woman in Bangkok recently warned motorists on social media after a disabled man threw a rock at her car on Banthat Thong Road, on July 28. According to several online users, this wasn't the man's first such incident, with similar occurrences previously taking place in the Silom area.

The woman posted a video showing the disabled man attempting to escape the scene in his wheelchair on her TikTok account, Reviewbyme89. She captioned the video as "A disabled man threw a rock at my car and tried to escape".

She further explained that the rock had damaged her car. Despite clear evidence of the rocks on his wheelchair, the man denied his actions and refused to pay for the damages. She expressed her relief that the rock didn't go through her car's window, potentially causing injury to her.

On calling the police to the scene, the man confessed to throwing the rock at her car because he was feeling stressed and irritable. The woman maintained she had never interacted with or even met the man before.

She later posted another video from the police station where further legal action was being discussed. While some social media users criticized her for taking legal action against a disabled individual, others insisted she shouldn't pursue the case further.

Several Thai TikTok users commented that they had seen the man in the Silom area, where he was known as a lottery seller and panhandler. Some claimed he was a compulsive gambler.

The woman responded to comments revealing that the man had committed similar offenses over the past five years, but had not been prosecuted due to his disability. She claimed he was far from poor and had enough money to compensate her for the damages, but had not faced any legal consequences for his actions.

I'm all for equal treatment - If anyone throws rocks at a car for no reason they should be charged.

At first I read the headline and started to assume the rock was thrown out of anger for a car not stopping for a person in a wheel chair at a crossing etc - but this is clearly not the case....  This is just a thug in a wheelchair who committed a dangerous crime....

... He should charged according to his actions (crime) just as anyone else committing the same acts should be - its that simple, seems like equality to me.
