Is the Tax compliance going to be linked to Visa issuance ?
Right, so given my suggestion was to make the gift overseas, from his foreign account to another foreign account held by his wife............... the posters tax residency is then irrelevant, do we agree on this at least? -

GOP Urges Trump to Accept Second Debate with Harris
Well you won't get an argument with me when it comes to both being inferior candidates. I'm in complete agreement on that, however I feel that Harris would be less destructive than Trump. In my opinion is a Trump is a human wrecking ball, and he is not wrecking the establishment, he is not cleaning the swamp, his policies will destroy the economy and America's standing in the world. -

Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?
And it ain't always even the relatives that are a problem. It's the everyone else too and even just the place itself. It does something strange to a woman, going back there. They change. They go feral. They start gambling, money lending, or they end up in debt and borrowing from the loan sharks. Eventually losing assets Or they start drinking, they stop taking care of themselves and their homes and turn into a degenerate. The village has them. There are bad influences everywhere and they still have the wiring in their brain of a village person, even though they had themselves together living in Bangkok, it is so easy to revert back. Then, in some cases "the brother" shows up. I have seen this many times. -

GOP Urges Trump to Accept Second Debate with Harris
Maybe the GOP is wrong to wish a second debate! 😃 A majority of Americans who followed the debate say Kamala Harris won! https://www.yahoo.com/news/new-yahoo-newsyougov-poll-after-debate-harris-surges-to-5-point-lead-over-trump-among-registered-voters-in-head-to-head-matchup-122213811.html "But Harris didn’t just win the personality contest Tuesday night; she won the policy war too. Respondents who followed the debate say the vice president gave better answers than Trump on every issue except immigration. That includes abortion (53% to 30%), the Jan. 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol (49% to 28%), her own record (45% to 31%), the cost of living (45% to 39%) and even Trump’s record (44% to 36%)." 😁 -

Thailand's 5-20 Year Visa Now a Bit Cheaper
Hopefully, it was during the application. He didn't pay the entire fee. Great that they gonna refund him the 50k THB fee. It's a blessing in a disguise. He can just apply for the DTV, it's way way way cheaper for a 5 year visa. Only thing he has to do is to get out of the country every 6 month. My friend just asked his agent. He got accepted because his overstay was less than 7 days. Any overstay above 7 days is detrimental to your application. They submit application all the time with 1-2 days overstay without issues. -

90-day report without physical passport book
Hate to state the obvious, but you should have made sure you 90 day was accepted before sending off your passport. That is exactly what I did. Cleared my 90 report, got my receipt, and then mailed out the passport that week. As mentioned above, try to mail it in, and if that doesn't work, then you just learned a 2000 THB lesson - you won't do that again. Fyi - once you get your passport back, you'll need to do your first 90 day in person if your passport number changes like they do in US passports, ie, the new passport number isn't in the system. -

Head of Reclining Buddha Collapses Less Than a Day After Consecration
Picture of the damaged before it was covered over. Residents are concerned about potential superstitions after the head of a large reclining Buddha statue at Wat Phra That Doi Saket unexpectedly broke off just a day after the statue’s opening ceremony. The temple swiftly covered the area with green tarpaulin while workers began repairs. Heavy rains in the Chiang Mai region are believed to have caused the damage, with the head collapsing due to the cement being unable to bear the weight. Initial inspections revealed that the head had fallen from the newly completed Buddha statue, which was constructed between 2020 and mid-2024, measuring 59.99 metres in length. The incident occurred early in the morning on 13 September 2024, just 24 hours after the Buddha’s opening ceremony held on 12 September. The ceremony, which marked the statue's official completion, was attended by numerous devotees and notable figures. Fortunately, the accident took place early morning, preventing any injuries. Monks at the temple have asked reporters not to take photos and explained that the collapse was due to a construction error rather than any supernatural cause. They emphasised that publicising the event might cause unnecessary panic among the local community, which is already rife with speculation about the incident. Some locals believe the collapse was due to structural issues, suggesting that the supporting materials used were inadequate to sustain the statue’s weight. Others speculate that it could be a bad omen, imagining the potential danger if the collapse had occurred during the ceremony with thousands in attendance. Despite these concerns, the temple has not yet issued any official statement regarding the incident. The contractor responsible for the statue has been tasked with urgently restoring the damaged structure to ease the worries of the local Buddhist community. -- 2024-09-15 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Is it worth having one short sighted eye corrected?
Soon. Presbyopia usually starts end forties, many people won't notice anything until about your age (and then it usually still takes several years until they admit they need reading glasses).
