The Tim Walz thread.

The timing of Walz's retirement is debatable and conceivably defendable.

What cannot be defended are:

*He lied about his retired rank

*He lied about carrying a rifle in war

*For more than two decades he allowed his immediate friends and allies to lie about his service record without correcting them. He should have put out the facts straight from the horse's mouth.

Career liar. Fake like Harris.

And it you don't want your kid on puberty blockers or if you try to stop the state from cutting off his penis, Walz wants your child taken from you.

Walz is the weirdest pick in US history. It is so funny he started the Vance is weird line.

Swift boating sadly and unfairly worked on John Kerry because John Kerry fit the stereotype of the east coast French speaking intellectual elite.

Walz is so freakin' all American wholesome with his Friday Night Lights Coach state championship thing that it simply won't work and it will backfire on the hypocritical bone spurs maga fascists for even trying that on.

Walz is a huge liability. Will they dump him soon?

It's so freakin' all American wholesome to mandate tampons in boys bathrooms! We all remember that, back when America was great. Pads, BTW, don't seem to work as well, as the biological boys, those remaining, stick them around the school, on students' lockers, and on other students' backs.

A hotline for reporting your neighbors, too, is SO all American wholesome. We all used to do that growing up. Rat 'em out! Parents, too. Somebody got a MAGA hat???

AND, bringing those wholesome drag queens right into the USA Capitol Rotunda, just as in Minnesota. Ooh-la-la! Invite the kids!

Walz himself may dress up in drag, at home at least. We're all looking forward to the pics.

Finally, there's nothing more wholesome than looting and burning down cities! MORE of that wholesomeness, PLEASE!

This will not go down well with veterans who deployed to any combat zone. One can be a Democrat, Republican or Independent but in a foxhole (literal or not) we were all soldiers, Marines, sailors or airmen. There was always trust that my life depends on you and your life depends on me so will rely upon each to survive and accomplish the mission. One never lies or embellishes about his or her service in a combat zone.  We had a term for those who evade combat deployments without a legitimate reason.  That term is chicken hawk.  A chicken hawk is boastufl and brave until the bullets start flying.  Yes, Donald (shin splints) Trump probably fits the definition. Gov Walz needs to look into the camera and explain exactly when he submitted his Army National Guard retirement application. If his application was submitted before the Minnesota Army National Guard received a warning order for a possible Iraq deploment then issue over. Otherwise he has some explaining to do.  None of this would matter except for one line he said that was released by the Harris-Walz campaign:   "Just like the weapons I carried in a war zone".   At one time he was actually deployed overseas.  It was Italy.  I do not believe Italy has  been a war zone for over 80 years.

Actually, Trump was a draft dodger. And his final medical excuse was for bone spurs, after taking 4 student deferments. Much like Joe Biden, whose final medical excuse was asthma as a child, after taking 5 student deferments. Like lots of men in that generation, they took whatever steps they could to avoid the draft.

Walz is at best a liar and at worst a coward. Time will tell which.  The simple fact is that he signed a commitment to stay in the Guard until 2007 and broke it. Broke it at the height of the Iraq war when Guard Units from across the country were being activated and deployed.  The reasons and motivations will be fascinating to discover. But failing to take a qualifying course to assume a promotion is very very suspicious.

Total tosh, he served for near 25 years in the army, left because he was going into politics...YOU, are now making up stories because of your "affection" for Trump

You really are scraping the barrel, with nowhere to go.......🤔

But, you are the complete hero, yes/no  😂

Walz was never in the Army, you are not telling the truth.

Just because you hate Trump is no reason to make up a lot of nonsense about stolen valor Walz.

No, he didnt. He served 24 years in the National Guard.  It is a part time commitment, perhaps one weekend a month after initial training. He, like all other Guard members, were fully able to keep their standard civilian jobs and lives, just like every other citizen. And by all accounts he served honorably.

Until the whole Iraq thing. He quit the Guard in the middle of his commitment, and the reasons/timing bear investigation.  Possibly pure coincidence, but that remains to be seen. What is not up for debate is that he DID quit early, he DID fail to qualify for his terminal rank, he DID lie about serving in combat.

We shall see. Americans have very little patience for potential cowards.

Reserve Army boy. Basically a casual wannabe. Then quits and runs. Sounds right.
