Do you mean one of those halogen bulb/glass things, or the expensive ones advertised on TV and cooking programmes so much these days please?

Both, and have both, though think I retired the glass one.  The air fryer, half the size of the glass one 4.5L (?) vs 12L is pretty handy, and OK for 2 people.

Only cost 990 baht.   Think they're 1600 now.

Mine won't let me. If I try, she says " I can do ".

Some are trained since childhood what a woman should do, even though it's a chauvinistic approach, but that's expected in a country favoring men. They do appreciate any effort made, even though it's foreign to them. What their mom's did, they do.

You may be right. However, one has to take the good with the bad. I don't try to change any part of my GF's culture, even if some of it is objectionable to me.

imagine thinking you cannot buy a bathtub easily here
also imagine thinking Thailand is 3rd world lol
it is very easy to buy many appliances here
and can definitely buy a decent sized bathtub that you can fit your legs in

this is old man yells at cloud, energy
man calls an entire country a 3rd world chithole
because he can only afford to rent cheap places with small bath tubs
am i missing something?

I can buy at least three things here I cannot buy in Australia. A bum gun, kratom, and a mosquito racquet.

Nanny state regulations prohibit all three.

Bathtubs and clothes dryers and electric dish washers hiders.

3 things I don't miss at all from back home.

What I do miss (occasionally) an oven.

Counter Top Ovens are cheap enough to buy, I use mine often. Less than 3K  from Lazada

70 liter (you can even buy spares)

I agree I really miss a bathtub, I made A big mistake when having my house built, as I did it as cheap as possible, now to add a bathroom would be too expensive, as all the drainage tanks are on the opposite side of the house to where I could put it...

Good luck baking a pizza or roasting a chicken/turkey in that. I like to make pies fruit and meat. That is a fryer not an oven.........just saying.

Or crisp the bottom up an a griddle/fry pan, then transfer to finish the top in the air fryer.   Actually what I do when making pizza, but in the oven, as air fryer is really too small for my pizzas.

Although ... have made pizza 'rolls or bread' in the air fryer, and a lot easier and tasty also.

Heated towel rail in the bathroom

I hate damp towels at any time but during the wet season it is awful.

You could by a fan heater.....................:coffee1: Edit or more towels and a tumble dryer.

When I went back to Canada with wifey this February I realized how much I miss bathtub in a condo. So I told wifey the only way I'm coming back to this third world chithole is if she gets me a bathtub condo.

Now I use it every day, mostly while posting on asean now!

What do you miss?

Maybe a good idea not to come back to Thailand if the lack of a bath triggers you. What would it be next?
