Any advantages to retirement over marriage visa?
No. Retirement "O" does not need those things. That is for an "O-A". As already stated the main difference between retirement and family is financial. Marriage extensions have a lot of odd things asked for, photo's, witnesses, home visits, etc. If you don't mind locking 800k in the bank it's the best option. -

You can't even get my name right so no chance of getting your facts right. I bought the vehicle in Bangkok and then registered it myself in my home province. I was refused a registration plate because the tint was 5% over the limit. Moral of the story is to get the vehicle registered before having the tint installed. -

The O-A retirement visa from your home country requires police clearance, medical cert, health insurance. 90 day Non O followed by 12 month retirement extensions does not. -

I think the multiple reasons you posted above from O'Donnell as to why Trump too often gets an unchallenging media pass for his nonsense are spot-on correct. That's what made ABC's real-time fact challenging of Trump during the debate so refreshing. CNN calculated that Trump made more than 30 false or unsupported claims during the debate. I think the ABC moderators specifically challenged him on just a handful of those, but at least they challenged him on some! -

IMO it didn't matter who said what. Short of one having a Bidenesque melt down in full view of the entire human race, it was never going to make anyone change their minds. The undecided will likely remain so till the minute before they pull the lever or whatever they do now in a US election. Those that hate Trump will claim a great victory for the woman, and vise versa. The last debate will be remembered long into the future, but this one will likely be forgotten once the next "big thing" comes along for us all to pontificate about on here. -

Charming, but again not part of the rules for the debate as written by ABC News. Mods should be preparing follow up questions and getting ready for the next candidate, not playing "gotcha!". I guess Harris is incapable of fact checking on the fly, so ABC gave her a helping hand. Seems to be a trend in the legacy media. -

Any advantages to retirement over marriage visa?
Thanks for the reply. Is that for the retirement visa? It seemed to me that the retirement visa would require more paperwork - police clearance, medical cert, health insurance etc. Whereas the marriage visa only appears to require marriage proof in addition to funds in the bank.
