Hi, can anyone tell me where to find a Torx screwdriver in Bangkok. I didn't know what one was before I looked it up so have no idea how easy they are to find before I go out looking.

The big box stores should all stock them or Mr DIY.

 

They will generally come in a set of “ bits” or the Allen Key type and come in various sizes.

 

Check the fitting you are using it on as some are security type and have the added hole on the tool.

 

 

the smaller size (usually for electronics) ones might not be available in hardware / diy stores like Homepro

The exact selection changes all the time, but one of the handiest cheap money I ever spent in Thailand was on one of these bit sets.  Torx, phillips, flat screwdrivers, many with "tamper resistant" workarounds.

I worked on quite a few small appliances that required one of these tips to open them up and clean them and lube them up.

 

You can also search for bigger sets with a lot more tips.

 

Be aware that some sets do not include the handle, which has to be bought separately.

This is madness.....

 

And now I saw a new one: 3-POINTED like Philips, on my toaster.

 

PS. I noticed it's included in a kit posted above. I had never seen one before.
