mcd Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 While on patrol, a Pattaya volunteer police officer arrested an eighteen year-old boy for stealing a motorbike. Another young perpetrator escaped. The owner was delighted to get her motorbike back. On 2 August 2007, at 3 AM, Pattaya Police Colonel Suthin Sabphueng was notified by Pattaya Volunteer Police that they had detained a motorbike thief in Soi Yensabai connected to Pattaya Third Road, South Pattaya, Nongprue, Banglamung , Chonburi. At the incident, volunteer police detained a criminal, Mr. Pranot Sengdonprai, nickname Cher, (18) address 24/3, Moo 3, Bang-saray, Chonburi, with evidence of a blue Yamaha Neuvo motorbike, license 999, Chonburi. The key hold of the motorbike had been destroyed with a hard object. Mr. Pranot, who does not go to school, confessed that he asked one of his friends, Mr. Dej, (18), to join him in stealing a motorbike. The nefarious duo found a suitable bike parked in front of Mae-Urai Apartment near Bali-hai Bridge, in South Pattaya. They used a modified, T-shaped iron grill bar to destroy the key-hold of the motorbike. Then they dragged it behind some bushes and tried to jump start the vehicle and ride it back home. Unfortunately for them, a police volunteer passed by and arrested Mr. Pranot, but his friend, Dej, ran away. Police took Mr. Pranot to the crime scene, and met up with the motorbike's owner, Miss Urairat Wichaichon (28), who is the girlfriend of the Mae-Urai Apartment owner. She said that she returned from doing some errands and was shocked to see her motorbike missing. She was very delighted to see that the officials retrieved the errant bike. She was very grateful that police were able to apprehend the criminal. Police detained Mr. Pranot at the police station and charged him with stealing at night time, and will follow up by arresting Mr. Dej, his partner in crime, as soon as possible. http://pattayadailynews.com/shownews.php?IDNEWS=0000003568
Gimbo Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I love the way they parade them in front of the cameras with the victim pointing an accusing finger.
