She was part of a flip flopping failed administration. Fair enough.

Not failed at all. Record GDP growth among developped countries, increased energy independence and exports, strong unemployment decrease,...

So, a bit like Trump......I've turned over a 50 years law that permits abortions.....look at me.....oh wait...what? Half the voters are women?

Trump.......it's only right and proper that individual states decide their own abortion rules....(many of which will now allow abortions with restrictions)......so the principle was what?.....I'm pro-life unless it impacts on the number of votes I get???

That kind of flip flop?

Nonsense. The whole argument about Roe v Wade was legal overstretch.

If you want a Federal abortion ban, win the election by a big enough majority then Congress will enact the law. Simple.

Yes it is. A direct attack on the business owners and wealth creators. They'll just go offshore, just as they did during the infamous Brain Drain from the UK.

I've got to be honest, you're clearly clueless on these matters so it would be better if you went quiet. The forum has enough worthless posts without you adding to it.

There are not enough business owners and wealth creators to lose her the election.

It would be amiss not to admit there was hint of the same fragrance in the air here.

I think the argument is a bit more nuanced though. A lot of states and pro life people felt aggrieved by Roe  vs Wade and wanted it gone.  Since a lot of them were from the religious right Trump was sympathetic, even though he himself never had strong feelings about abortion.

His current solution that each state can decide it by themselves seems an appropriate and sensible compromise.

But yes, the explicit refusal now to ban abortion smacks of electioneering too, even if the words were put into Vance's mouth.

Actually Russia had higher GDP growth by far. That's quite a failure for Russia to have higher GDP growth than the US. When did that happen for the last time?

Truly stunning how one person, the presidential nominee at that, can be so unappealing and provide such mind numbing benign world salad non-answers. Then she gravitates to blame Trump and try to hide from the past 3.5 years of her and Biden's dumpster fire admin disasters starting with the total world humiliation of the DEADLY Afghan withdrawal, the failed bidenomics circus economy and the total border /immigration failure creating the worst humaitarian, child trafficking crisis  and current ongoing national security crisis, Total, absolute failure here and abroad for the Biden/Harris admin.

She's going nowhere quick, dems SHOULD replace her now!

She's a total loon, likely dumber than Biden.

So long as it wasn’t ’be a dictator’.

I think you just said exactly the same as me.....but so much more eloquently, with a dash humour and with a form of sesquipedalianism that makes me stand back and applaud.

Trump and Vance, or is it RFK, will bethrowing all the toys out of the pram.

He's already letting rip apparently.....

The presidential race between former President Trump and Vice President Harris has turned increasingly nasty, highlighting the significant divide in American politics and the high personal stakes involved.

On Wednesday, Trump shared crude, sexist attacks on social media aimed at both Harris and his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton. These posts included references to the QAnon conspiracy, which the Harris campaign criticized as divisive and dangerous.

Trump did not turn over a law.

The law being turned over did not in any way make abortion illegal, though that's what the press would have had us believe, and as you likely did.

In the US, the lawmakers are supposed to make the laws, and the court rules on them.

The Democrats have had over two years to put together a federal abortion bill and have done nothing, because they need to save it as an issue. There is a bill right now in the Democrat majority senate that has been sitting for two years. H.R.3755

As far as I can tell, Trump has always been pro-choice, except for late term

She wants to tax Unrealized gains? How does that work, What if those gains become loss's? Lets not talk about how the department of Labor fudges the numbers to make unemployment look good, She now supports Fracking? And wants a border wall and wants to stop taxing tips, Trump was building a border wall and Biden stopped it. Harris was against fracking in 2020 and she was the deciding vote on taxing tips. So will you people please start to use critical thinking and stop drinking the Kool-Aid that the democrats keep pushing.

Correct. We had the same problem in the UK in 1974 - and we elected a socialist government that lost the plot. Within two years we were at the IMF with the begging bowl to fund our essential government services. Another year later we suffered what was known as the Winter of Discontent when the social fabric of the country melted. We couldn't bury our dead, race riots, strikes everywhere across every sector.

Hyperinflation destroyed the economy, and we lost our manufacturing base as customers went to more reliable manufacturers. So what happened next?

18 years of Tory government.

It might well be the case that the USA will endure a period of economic catastrophe before wakening up. The best way to do it is to have all your wealth creators park their wealth overseas and destroy your tax base.

This policy is wild, and I genuinely cannot believe that when in power the Democrats will actually enact this stupidity.

The whole idea is to tax you on the growth. Right now they can only tax you when you sell it. If they tax the growth, they can tax you each time the market corrects, and then again when you sell it.

But don't worry, she's only going after the evil greedy rich, for now.

Pathetic, worthless personal attack. My analysis is accurate,

Unrealised tax policy = being taxed on profit YOU HAVE NOT COLLECTED.

This is not difficult to understand.

Unlike your personal attack which came first eh.

Your initial analysis is still drivel.

The inflation and cost of living argument always makes me laugh. No one seems to understand that external shocks can impact an economy in ways that no politician has any control over. Yet the incumbent always gets the blame?

Compared to other countries around the world impacted by the post pandemic supply chain problems and the economic shock of the Ukraine war I would say that the US dealt with it better than most.

It is fun to watch Trump visibly crumble as his time in the Sun starts to fade, as voters get jaded by his lies and corruption. Perhaps the fake assassination was one step to far?

So take credit for GDP growth and blame others for the bad things.

Lame deflection. I was talking about developped countries, I.e. G7.

BTW, Russia's GDP is at the same level as Italy, and has not grown between 2012 and 2022. The reasons for the current growth are well known (military expenses).

Well, from MAGA fans' desperate reactions in this thread and in the other one, it must have been quite a good interview! 😃

you didnt watch it. I did and its sad you guys are so deranged by your hatred of Trump that you cant see a pair of lightweights when they are right in front of you.

But then again, the modern history of your particular country is full of socialist lightweights, collaborators and anti semites so your support of Harris is not surprising

The U.S. has experienced a similar inflation level as other developed countries, but multiple times their growth rate.

No. Just be honest about what you can do. If the world experiences an economic shock that drives up prices, you have to deal with it, mostly through interest rate hikes, which can be painful for everyone. If you deal with it quickly the quicker you get back to lower inflation and growth.

it’s simply childish to believe that everything is down to whoever is in the Whitehouse. I’d say the same about CEO’s. Sometimes poor results are down to economic conditions impacting that industry. Same goes for good times. They get too much praise in good times, and too much blame during poor times.
