BREAKING NEWS Second Assassination Attempt-Secret Service get Trump to safety
When was the last time you fired an AK-47? An AK-47 can be used to hit long range targets. It is not the prefered weapon for a precision shot but with a 30 round magazine landing the rounds in the geneal area would get the job done. The AK is not a simple long rifle unlike an AR-15 but many have been kiled with it worldwide. Some of those killed with AK's were some of my fellow service members. -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
NATO military chair, others back Ukraine's use of long range weapons to hit Russia The head of NATO's military committee said Saturday that Ukraine has the solid legal and military right to strike deep inside Russia to gain combat advantage — reflecting the beliefs of a number of U.S. allies — even as the Biden administration balks at allowing Kyiv to do so using American-made weapons. “Every nation that is attacked has the right to defend itself. And that right doesn’t stop at the border of your own nation,” said Adm. Rob Bauer, speaking at the close of the committee's annual meeting, also attended by U.S. Gen. CQ Brown, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/nato-military-committee-chair-back-ukraines-long-range-113690875 -

Thailand Mourns as Heroic K9 Singto Passes at Age 11
Thailand's K9 Urban Search and Rescue team is in mourning following the death of Singto, a Golden Retriever who served with unwavering dedication for 11 years. Singto, who had been battling cancer, passed away on September 15. Despite his illness, Singto continued to show his indomitable spirit. Just three days before his death, he participated in promotional photo shoots and fundraising events, reflecting his commitment to the organisation. Alongkot Chukaew, his handler and the deputy director of K9 USAR Thailand, expressed deep sorrow at the passing of the dog he considered family. "I don’t have children and I raised K9 Singto as if he were my own," he shared. Singto's service was marked by acts of bravery and kindness. He often partnered with Alongkot during challenging missions, including diving in reservoirs to locate missing persons. Singto was also cherished by a group of visually impaired individuals who learned music alongside him, illustrating his gentle nature. A stalwart in both K9 USAR Thailand and the Environmental and Social Foundation, Singto's contributions were significant and far-reaching. His dedication and strength will be remembered and missed by many. Photo: Thai PBS World -- 2024-09-16
