A 70-year-old man who was trapped on a flooded market tent selling pork products, for about 18 hours, in the Maeluangkhon Market, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai, was safely rescued on September 11, by a team of professional jet ski. riders, including a world champion. The dramatic rescue unfolded after multiple rescue teams were unable to reach the elderly man due to the dangerous floodwaters.

The man, who had been stranded since the yesterday afternoon, remained trapped as water levels surged around him. Onlookers, including local residents, watched anxiously from a distance, flashing lights to signal his location to potential rescuers. However, the strong currents prevented initial rescue attempts by emergency teams.

The turning point came when the world champion jet ski team arrived at the scene. Their efforts were shared via a Facebook page titled "Gun the Power Fighter," which regularly updates followers on community rescue operations. The page announced, "The world jet ski champion team has successfully reached and rescued the elderly man from the red tent. What others couldn't do, we did. I'm so proud of my team – we've accomplished things no one thought possible."

Images and videos soon followed, capturing the jet ski team's courageous mission as they navigated the floodwaters to reach the man and escort him to safety.

Chiang Rai has faced severe flooding in recent days, leading to widespread displacement and damage. As rescue operations continue, authorities are urging residents to stay safe and follow evacuation instructions as needed.

Video of the rescue is below.
