A fatal truck collision occurred on Highway 21 in Lopburi, resulting in one death and one injury. The incident took place on the Saraburi-Lom Sak route near kilometre marker 44 in Khok Salung subdistrict, Phatthana Nikhom district, Lopburi province.

On September 13, authorities received a report from the Khok Salung Police Radio Communication Centre of an accident involving two trucks. A 6-wheel Hino truck with a Saraburi license plate rear-ended a parked 12-wheel truck with a Nakhon Ratchasima plate, causing both vehicles to overturn and crash off the side of the road.

The 6-wheel truck was severely damaged at the front, where rescue teams found one injured individual, a 24-year-old Thai man, who was quickly extracted from the wreckage and transported to Phatthana Nikhom Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A second person, a 22-year-old man from Saraburi, was found deceased in the passenger seat, trapped inside the crushed vehicle. Rescue workers used specialised tools to cut through the wreckage and recover his body.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Khok Salung Police.

Looks like a pretty straight section of road.....never heard of so many rear ending crashes as happens in Thailand causing death and destruction. It's a daily occurrence and no-one cares!

The Hino truck must have been travelling at quite some speed in order to be able to overturn the 12 wheeler and drive it off the road.

Speed and lack of attention.
