Pitbulls are responsible for 60% - 70% of all fatal dog attacks. This means of course, that every other breed of dog combined make up 30% or less of all fatal dog attacks. 

 

Bad owners? I don't think so.

The owners are not all bad, often well meaning, just not very smart

Saw a silly girl on a bus today with a puppy.

Of course a cute and lovely "pittie". 

It will probably tear her face off someday

It's also hard for Thai dog owners to exercise their dogs because that would mean the Thai owner to do some actual exercise and actually walk a bit.  Under no circumstances will the majority of Thais do anything that involves walking.

Nice sweeping generalisation. I don't know if you noticed but Thailand is pretty damn hot during the day.

Where I live between 5 - 8pm you see dozens of Thais out walking their dogs and - shock horror - even cleaning up after them.

Not the old it's too hot chestnut. Whenever a foreigner defends Thais lack of exercise it means the foreigner is also lacking in the exercise and walking department and are trying to justify their own laziness.

Did you miss the second half of my past where I said I see dozens of Thais out walking their dogs after 5pm? It's too hot in the middle of the day for dogs (and humans) but in the evening everyone is out, walking dogs, jogging, exercising.

But yeah, just ignore that part of my post so you can call Thais lazy, good for you.

Today's BP reports of a man bitten to death in his home by 2 stray dogs, a half-bred pitbull  and a half-bred rottweiler.

He was old, anyway (49 y.o.).

The dogs were taken in by the livestock office. I would like to know what they feed them.

 

Obviously,  these cute and cuddly dogs became ferocious animals because they were half-breds.

And, as many posters have said, there are  no bad dogs, only bad owners.

So, let's find the owners of the stray dogs.

Yes i read it and I've never seen this happen.  So, you can just say that and have no proof whatsoever, just to back up your claim.   I can guarantee most people who have lived in Thailand will agree with me and say  MOST (NOT ALL OF THEM!!)Thais don't walk and in actual fact I've spoken to many Thais about this and they admit they don't like walking and have never mentioned it's because of the weather.  They just don't want to walk anywhere.  You sound like a Piers Morgan type who just wants to argue for the sake of arguing.  You could start an argument in a phone box.  If someone said the sky was blue you'd probably argue with them.

Also I didn't called Thais lazy.  I said they lacked exercise but I DID insinuate you was lazy😉
