Are tiled-Thai roofs designed so that they will leak a little, during horizontal rain?

Why?  He posted his roof has no leaks--as does mine.  The 'no leaks part' would be the whole roof.  It might be more helpful if you posted photos of your roof, and the areas where it leaks.

Why?

Because he is always telling me to post photos.

And when I do, he is never satisfied, and always wants more photos.

This is why.

I haven't seen any photos of your leaky roof on this thread.  My point remains.  I think it would be more helpful to see your leaky roof photos rather than photos of a roof with no problems that is not leaking.

I cannot climb up there in the rain.

Even on a sunny day, I cannot climb up there.

I cannot climb up into the crawl space, either.

Well, anyway, here is a photo of what it looks like.

Several posters, including myself, have mentioned that a shallow pitch can cause leaking with tiled roofs.  In an earlier post I mentioned my neighbor's house.  Her main tile roof has a steep pitch and no leak problems.  Her porch tile roof has a shallow pitch, something like yours.  It leaks, even though the house is only about a year old.  Your roof also appears to be on the shallow side so that might be the problem.

You realize that is not a picture of his roof, but one taken from the internet?

In fact I doubt he could provide any real pictures, because as far as I know basements don't have a roof

Yes.

I agree.

The higher the pitch of the roof, the better.

But, I am in no position to install a new roof.

How uncouth can one get?

Time will tell....

Just keep it up, please...

IF, that is, you actually....can.....

Approx. same stupid like asking if things are designed to leak.
