What you don't know is that the Hunter Biden data in question was not on the laptop, it was on an external drive.

 

Rudy was hawking a copy of the data from the external drive.

 

The FBI verified that the Hunter Biden laptop was legit, but they couldn't verify the data that Rudy was passing around.
