Thanks for taking my advice - if/when you remove the EV battery please follow the official manufacturer guidelines (maybe get a specialist company to do it?) and then make sure you connect it up (to solar) and store it safely and appropriately. Youtube is your friend - plenty of good advice there (and EV battery fires)  - find a few covering the brand/model you intend to remove.

I commented my 2020 ZS ICE also had.  But,  my previous ICEVs did not, but also pre 2013.  I didn't state ICEVs don't have, just mine didn't.  

 

People like to project what they think I implied, instead of what I stated.  You'd have to be living in a cave or under that rock not to know the advances built into autos, that last 10 years.

I didn't think I had to state the obvious, being 2024.   Didn't do anything deliberate, just stated my opinion of my driving experiences.  Y'all seem to add so much more to my thoughts than I post.

 

Final thought, BEVs at the same price point ARE BETTER, if just for performance alone.   Read into all the rest that you want.   My MGs 2020 onward (at their price points), were better and or safer & more convenient 'for me' to drive.

I completely agree - the instant torque makes EV's faster off the mark than ICE's ( thats one of the reasons I like EV's)...   

.... meanwhile driver assistance systems, aids, safety (airbags), assistive braking etc... all that stuff remains the same.... and the EV is more expensive than its equivalent 'same manufacturer' counterparts.

I'm a keep till it dies, or shall I say, getting back to it.  Now that I know one should last a long time.  Of course, have solar, makes the BEV a no brainer, while it's running, or craps out.   Then turns into more ESS

I'm still waiting to hear about someone finding one of those 599k bargains, and this month, not when first announced. 

 

As I stated a few times, that's bargain of the year IMHO, if needing, wanting B-class SUV.   After 2 yrs/35k kms, I still give it 👍👍

When Byd recently announce B340,000 that brought them attention from the Office of the Consumer Protection Board maybe MG thinking if we don't announce the price reductions on the website we wouldn't receive the same attention

When the MG ZS EV was  launched in March 2022 before any susbsidies

Price of MG ZS EV D was 1,189,000 baht

Price of MG ZS EV X was  1,269,000 baht

The best info for me was a Grab Driving in an EV - he said he used to spend about 10,000 baht on petrol, now he spends 2000 baht per month extra on his house electricity.
