Imperial college Covid-vaccine fantasy of 20 million lives saved...
The HART group Who are we? HART is a group of highly qualified UK doctors, scientists, economists, psychologists and other academic experts. We came together over shared concerns about policy and guidance recommendations relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to be concerned about the lack of open scientific debate in mainstream media and the worrying trend of censorship and harassment of those who question the narrative. Science without question is dogma. Specifically, we identify a need for public policy to reflect a broader and more balanced approach across a number of key areas, such as: Impact of masks and mandatory lockdowns on wider society; Assessment of the long-term impact of school and university closures; Re-evaluation of the evidence on transmission and the role of asymptomatic spread; Re-evaluation of diagnostic testing, track and trace and associated data analysis; The psychological impact of the government’s COVID-19 advertising campaigns (in particular the ‘sick until proven healthy’ directives); An urgent evaluation of the evidence base for safe and effective (non-vaccine) medicines to treat and prevent illness from SARS-CoV-2 and its variants, and more research where considered necessary. Russian driver crashes into Thai couple’s motorcycle, denies responsibility
I have seen the insurance assessors act as middle men, asking the party who are wrong to pay a certain sum to the victims for damages to vehicles etc., when this is done there is a divide up amongst concerned parties, had this happen to a friend, but when he paid the victims pocketed the lot and said he did not pay, lucky he got them to sign receipt and had pic of withdrawal from bank as well, insurance assessor went mad at first until he saw the receipt, then oh boy did someone loose face. -

Europe Braces for Escalation: Germany Mobilizes NATO Troops Amid Putin's Nuclear Threats
Another ridiculous and misleading article that is driven by pure hyperbole. No, thankfully Europe is not preparing for all out war. All those concerned, including Putin, understand that a war between nuclear powers can never be fought, as it would likely turn nuclear and the doctrine of mutually assured destruction still holds true today. While Putin's threats should be taken seriously, analysts concur that he will most likely retaliate through hybrid warfare, while continuing with the nuclear saber-rattling. Its not in his interests anyway; a Trump presidency is looming and he is clearly winning conventionally. All analysts are in agreement that the recent change in policy with regard to long range missiles has come too little and too late. They are a desperate attempt to slow down the Russian advance and salvage something from a misguided proxy war. While serving as an escalation, it will not affect the Russian momentum or have any significant strategic effect. It is now clear to everyone that in the long term Ukraine cannot win or reclaim its lost territory. It doesn't have the weapons or manpower. Even Zelenskey, as reality finally dawns, now says that Crimea can only be regained through diplomacy. It is high time that reality and pragmatism come to the fore, and for the sake of all concerned, not least Ukraine, that negotiations begin on some kind of ceasefire. -

Compatible Laptop for Linux Mint 22 (Wilma)
It's time to replace my aging Lenovo IdeaPad laptop - been good for 10 years but is failing now. i like the idea of a Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen5 but I'm having a problem finding out if this is compatible with Mint 22, 'Wilma". Mint 22 is based on Ubuntu 24.04. I've checked the Ubuntu compatibility list but the result was a bit vague, indicating that only OEM pre-installed 24.04 may work properly. So, anyone out there using this OS with a T14? Alternatively, any recommendations for a compatible laptop? Thanks. -

Elderly British Man Injured in Electric Tricycle Crash in Pattaya
A "crate in the rate"? No, it wasn't, the factor was a stack of pallets in the road. Thank-you once again... you spotted more typos and autocorrect that everyone recognised but realised not worthy of comment... ... Now, hurry to the loo before you wet yourself... -
