Safety is something to be practiced everyday, not just for show-n-tell. Does this article mean they won't prioritized safety after the holiday?!

You are correct  Safety is everyone's responsibility, I am surprised that the Thai unions  are not doing anything in this regard

100% agree. Farangs get this but the 'crackdown' obsessed police seem not to be able to understand it.

So the Company will do the inspections themselves, what could go wrong.

This is Not a mechanical  Inspection only inspection of the busses in regard to safety equipment

"vehicles are fully equipped for safe operation"  in other words check tires fire fighting equipment . emergency exits ect  and the Company should be doing this already, its just a show !!

Good initiative.

That will trigger the usual whiners who use this forum to daily rant negatively about a country that they have chosen to live in and imagine scenarios that will unlikely happen.

The Transport Company Limited has announced measures to prioritize safety and facilitate travel during the upcoming Nawamindra Maharaj Day holiday, which will run from October 12 to 14.

Best of luck, you won't get me in a road death trap.

And Why do think they are doing Inspection  to bring up faults like this   its a first step to bring in better safety  but apparently not good enough for whingers like yourself

..to ensure that all vehicles are fully equipped for safe operation.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recent death of 23 caused by the bus flame-up during school excursion.

Its main cause was the ill-fitted fuel system.

But looks like no mandatory engine checkup is implemented for better safety.

Perfect example of the  Thai administrative practice:

Saying, but Not Really Doing.
