To ensure visitors have a smooth and safe experience, national park officials have pulled out all the stops. Safety equipment and facilities have been thoroughly checked and repaired where needed.

seems they haven't

Trolling yet again with the anti-Farang / Thai apologist nonsense at the drop of a hat….

…a typical MalcomB post - worthy of nothing other than disdain for this numpty…. It’s astonishing how he misses making an intelligent comment by a country mile.

It really makes you wonder whether or not these boat captains have ever had any safety training, and how much attention they pay to nearby swimmers and divers. What's really surprising is that this doesn't happen more often  considering the incredibly LAX safety standards here.

it wouldn't make any difference, you cannot train stupid

Jet drives are the answer. No props. Drove one for ten years at work.

It's the same mentality as on the road   .

They think they are big time driving a small bike with big noise

Tourist attraction come to Thailand everyone can now drive stoned and drunk you can burn to death on a crapped out bus or be run over by a idiot while swimming

Yeah ! Best that the world just stays away !

Injured by the boat propeller.

That headlines brought me a gruesome images(arms or legs chopped up by the spinning blades).

But that foreigner looked still able-bodied.

A lucky feller.

It was a accident where or what the tourist/farang doing near the boat to be cut.Where was the person controlling the boat  and was he paying attention. It was a accident nothing more fixed up  all ok now

I thought it would be more likely that British Karen didn’t listen to instructions.

The hundreds of other divers seemed to manage ok.

Thats a pretty moronic statement. Divers are under the water and boats on the surface. There should have been diving flags on display and boaters should not be in the same area. Doesn't sound like the safety equip mentioned was in full use.

Most likely Italian.  Why comment on her size?    🙄

Because even the James Bond character wouldn’t be able to handle this asset solo…

Or may be hundreds of other divers just got lucky.

Bacchetta is an Italian name.  First found in England in 1891.  Not sure where the Mohammad references come from, but never mind.  Don't care about her size, it's not relevant.  She looks a bit embarrassed to me at having to be carried.  Hope she recovers quickly.

My son's very British gf has a very East European surname. Puzzled she told be her grand father came to Britain from Ukraine during the war. I am interested to find out more if she knows how he got here. I know lots of Poles got here during the war but not that Ukrainians came here. I am of course referring to the 1939-1945 war. So no surprise there are many British with non Anglo Saxon names

Yeah, completely agree.

This is what happens when a species we came over here to avoid follows us.

We warned them!

You really should read up on British history. UK has a lot of very British people with the name of  Wittelsbach, Battenberg and Glucksburg circulating. The Sovereign would still be a Saxe-Coburg and Gotha  had the family name not been changed to Windsor.

Surprised you did not inquire if the bearers of the lady were not later treated for back and muscle strain.
