Rudy Giuliani Ordered to Surrender within 7 days $6 Million Manhattan Apartment

Rudy Giuliani, once a prominent attorney and former mayor of New York City, has been ordered by a federal judge to hand over his luxurious Manhattan apartment along with other assets to two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss. The ruling comes as part of a defamation lawsuit against Giuliani, in which the court held him accountable for making false claims that the workers had tampered with votes during the 2020 presidential election.

The defamation lawsuit, filed by Freeman and Moss, resulted in a significant legal victory for the two women last year. They were awarded more than $140 million in damages after Giuliani’s false accusations thrust them into the national spotlight and led to intense personal harassment and threats. Giuliani’s claims, made in the wake of Donald Trump’s election defeat, were part of an effort to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election results, and Freeman and Moss became targets in that campaign.

In addition to his Manhattan apartment, which was once listed for sale at $6 million, the federal judge ruled that Giuliani must surrender a variety of personal items, including watches, furniture, and sports memorabilia. Notably, some of the memorabilia includes a jersey signed by legendary New York Yankees player Joe DiMaggio. However, the judge deferred judgment on other high-value items, such as Giuliani’s three New York Yankees World Series rings and a Palm Beach, Florida condominium.

Furthermore, the ruling also makes Freeman and Moss beneficiaries of $2 million that Giuliani claims is still owed to him by Donald Trump's 2020 presidential campaign. The election workers had previously requested the seizure of various other Giuliani assets, including multiple properties, a Mercedes-Benz, and luxury watches, as they sought compensation in the wake of their legal victory.

This ruling is the latest in a series of legal troubles for Giuliani. In July, he was stripped of his legal credentials after being found to have made false statements regarding Trump’s 2020 election loss. He also faces separate criminal charges related to a so-called "fake elector scheme" in Arizona, where he and 17 others allegedly conspired to declare Trump the winner of the state’s electoral votes, despite his loss.

Amid these mounting legal challenges, Giuliani filed for bankruptcy last year, but a federal judge dismissed his bankruptcy case, leaving him vulnerable to claims from his creditors. The court's latest ruling, requiring him to hand over significant assets, represents a further blow to Giuliani’s financial and legal standing.

Giuliani has seven days to comply with the court order and turn over the specified possessions, including the Manhattan apartment. The outcome of this case has not only cost Giuliani his reputation and legal credentials but also exacted a significant financial toll. Meanwhile, Freeman and Moss have won a substantial measure of justice after enduring unwarranted public scrutiny and harassment for simply doing their jobs as election workers.

No worries. He is now selling coffee.  He sells  2 lb / 907 g tins  for $29.99 plus shipping.

In contrast Walmart  offers the same  amount of coffee for $13.50 and Starbucks is approx. $20.00

How the mighty have fallen.

I doubt the former Mrs. G. is too heartbroken. On April 4, 2018, Judith Giuliani  filed for divorce from Rudy Giuliani. It was related in part to the  "Maria Rosa Ryan” affair,  the hospital administrator with whom Rudy was caught spending a night at a New Hampshire hotel and exposed in its sordid detail in  the New York Post. The divorce was settled on December 10, 2019.  Unfortunately, 3 years later, Judith Giuliani was forced to file a lawsuit against Rudy for non-compliance regarding the divorce settlement. It looks like he repeated some of the delays and obfuscations of that court case with the recent Georgia case, which may explain why the judge has not allowed any wiggle room for Rudy this time.

No.

It’s a civil ruling.

But your interest in Trump interfering in justice is noted.

All Giuliani had to do was stay away from Trump and he would have retained the admiration and respect he had previously earned.

As it is he couldn’t stay away, and as with everything Trump touches, Giuliani’s reputation shriveled and died.

Suck it up Rudy.

I have heard on good authority that Trump will become a fascist dictator when he gets elected , would Trump fascist dictator be able to over turn the rules .

(Thingymajing told me about Don becoming a Fascist Dictator when he wins)

There's at least a consolation for Giuliani! The election workers will never get them! 🤣

Rudy must be so regretting that he made such a foolish decision and rode the wrong horse.

I doubt it.  He's too invested in the cult and still grifting them.  If he were to let that go he's got nothing.

By doing so using the reach of Giuliani’s own national fame with the result of the lives of these  ‘public servants’ being put at risk.

Oh and $148 million.

No, he doesn't really know him well, and they didn't spend much time together.

I can't think of a single person who hasn't been ruined in one form or another, from reputation through impoverishment or even imprisonment, by their association with Trump.

I also can't think of a single person who made good because of that association.

Except perhaps the Capitol Shaman who at least got 15 minutes of fame (before he was jailed).

True, in some countries telling obvious lies which encourage others to make inappropriate decisions would be chargeable and incur sizeable punishments.

Sometimes wonder if these stories are fake - a way to get normal people to self-censor their speech.

Also the story of the man in the UK who was allegedly sent to prison for putting up stickers the questioning NON stop gimmiegration.

Are these dtories even true?

Defamation laws are to replace lost income from people telling lies.

2 nobodies counting votes as a second job aren't likely to be large earners, so even if you defamed them in a way that stopped them ever working again ..... Maybe $1M each. But they'd need to prove they lost that potential amount.

Utter nonsense.
