The HCMC Website has the same requirement listed. Since that embassy will be the one processing the application, I would assume the requirement they have on their website is their requirement.

Retired expats are minority in Thailand...Who all deserve citizenship without having to sing the national anthem......
They could just substitute Hotel California for the national anthem....A song us old folks know the words too.....Allowing this change would be respecting our human rights....
Should be fine doing it that way. Just make sure you don't get confused and give them the wrong passport at some point and screw up your visa/extension.
But the fact that you will be going to Australia more than the UK doesn't really have any factor at all in this equation. You choose to enter Thailand with one passport and must exit Thailand with that passport, what you do other than that is irrelevant about entering or leaving other countries with whichever passport.
The king of lawsuits, whether as plaintiff or defendant, is at it again, defending his title as the most litigious person in America. But now he thinks in billions, not millions or (little) hundreds of thousands.
