Daughter's passport lost

Featured Replies

Hi there, I'm a British national and about 10 years ago whilst in Azerbaijan, I got my daughter a British passport by decent. It has been lost for some years and I cannot tell you the passport number, except it has a visa for Azerbaijan in it and a stamp from Thailand upon return in 2015. How do I get a replacement please?

If you know exactly when she came into Thailand, from what I have read, ThaI Immigration keeps a log of Passporr numbers so you may be able to get the passport number anyway.  But you should also report immediately to the UK authorities  about the passport for your daughter has been lost.

Make an Appointment with VFS and apply for a new Passport for your daughter.

As the Passport is both lost and expired, you may need a Police letter - but you can ask those questions.

Good idea above to try to and find the Pasport number - it may be worth going to Immigration and asking for help there, see what they have on their records, easier if you know your daughers arrival date was.

I strongly suspect that he'll need to provide a completed version of the following form, in addition to all the other docs required for a passport renewal from Thailand:

OP - although the notification form makes no mention of this, I would imagine that a certified English translation of your daughter's police report will be required.

Alternatively, it might be possible for your daughter's passport loss to be reported online by following the link below (although I haven't checked this in any detail):

https://www.gov.uk/report-a-lost-or-stolen-passport

Finally, if you require any further advice on this matter, you may need to contact HMPO direct in the UK, as set out under the "If you need advice" heading in the following link (not sure whether you'll get very far with VFS):
