Thailand Boosts Drug Control with New International Appointments
In a significant move to combat drug trafficking, Thailand's Narcotics Control Board has appointed specialised minister counsellors to embassies in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and China. These new positions highlight Thailand's dedication to strengthening international cooperation in the fight against narcotics, according to government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub. This decision follows commitments made during the recent ASEAN summits in Vientiane, where regional leaders, including Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, agreed to tackle narcotics challenges collectively. As part of these efforts, Prime Minister Shinawatra is set to visit Roi Et province to review and enhance local anti-drug measures, including initiatives to support the rehabilitation of former addicts. During her visit, the prime minister will lead a crucial meeting at Kewatung Temple in Thawat Buri district to discuss the “Roi Et Model.” This initiative aims to offer an exemplary framework for other regions across the country in addressing drug-related issues. The Thai government's recent appointments and regional engagements underscore their proactive strategy in combating the lingering narcotics threat. File photo for reference only -- 2024-10-31 -

Why do decent Americans support trump
This kind of change? Oil and gas tycoons made significant contributions to the Trump campaign after the former president asked the industry for $1 billion to support his reelection bid — and reportedly said it would be a “deal” for them to do so. https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/4961820-oil-bigwigs-open-wallets-for-trump-after-billion-dollar-request/ -

Kamala, new accent?
No, I'm glad Democrats joined with Republicans to stop the bill that would have done nothing but process them in more quickly. I wonder how many rapists and murderer Biden-Harris let into the county.
